Over 100 attended the splendid two-part program presented by Mrs. Maud Woodyard in the Pioneer Meth odist Church auditorium Tuesday evening. The platform was attrac tively decorated to represent a gypsy setting. Eight songs were sung by the little folk of pre-school age, dem onstrating 2-4, 4-4 and 2-4 time. In this group of youngsters are: Gerard Jeub, Gregory Homecker, Beverly Ann Zumwalt, Delores Graham, Don- ny Holbrook, Dickie Harry, Molly Patterson, Jimmy McCurdy, Lois Duncan, Edward Lee Petersen, Jane Newdall, Lindley Simpson, Joe Berg, Diane Jackson, Babette Parke, Caro lyn Brown, Sandra , McCurdy and Frances Ann Kern. The latter part of the program was a short musical comedy entitled, “The Quest of the Gypsy,” sung by 18 high school girls. Joy Norton sang the prologue most pleasingly, “Gypsy Love Song." The other leading char acter parts were taken by Yvonne Kern, Ann Hawkins, Elaine Gray and Donna Dean Bosserman. There was plenty of good dialogue and chorus numbers. This group of girls have been studying as a group and have been taught the fundamentals of voice. This recital completed the work of the Rhythm Band and the group of singers for the term. - At present I am posting the county, offering a reward of 8100.00 for in formation leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone putting out or disposing of salmon or salmon heads where dogs may get them. This includes all other types of poison as well. The streams are be ing posted cautioning people that fish caught in these streams are poisonous to dogs and no parts must be left ly ing around. Monday we establish dog control in Coquille and at that time all dogs running at large will be picked up and taken to the county shelter on Sanford Heights. Those interested in the epidemic of dog poisoning which has be6n sweeping Coos county for some time, will possibly enjoy what I have to say on this matter if they will turn the dial of their radio to KOOS Fri day evening at 7:30 o'clock. It would be well for those who in the past have indulged in dog poisoning as well as those who contemplate dojng so in the future, to listen iri'at that time.
